Late Shree Ragam veeraswamy Naidu , native of Guntur working as an officer in forest Department was transferred to another nearby place .one day while travelling in the forest he reached a village named Adavuladeevi .Here his horse galloped in a strange way and stopped without going further anymore .This incident happened many times then he approached a scholar well versed in scriptures  seeking advice for that incident .The learned scholar advised him to sleep for three days at that place .Veeraswamy Naidu followed the advice and in meantime the Lord Shree Satyanarayana swamy appeared in his dream and ordered him to build a temple for him there. Veeraswamy Naidu promised the Lord to construct a temple as per the wishes but forgot the promise. Construction began in the 1905 .The bushes were cleared and an anthill was found. A divine serpent which lived in the anthill dwelt in the temple for ten years.  In  1911 the temple’s shikhara was built .The festivities in  the temple consisted of marriage ceremony of the god and his consort .Brahmotsawams were started from 1911 onwards .The descendants of Ragam Veeraswamy Naidu became the trustees of  the temple since 1905 and contributed to the welfare of the temple.
